Serrated knives like bread knives, meat knives, or electric knives are not so complicated to sharpen; it’s all about using the right method. It seems that many people are not familiar with the correct technique, do not want to take the time to do it properly, or lack the necessary equipment. Sharpening them on the side opposite the serrations is not the right method and wears down the knives too quickly. Nevertheless, we have often seen this type of sharpening from mobile sharpeners.
This category includes the following types of knives:
- Bread knives
- Steak knives
- Carving knives
- Electric knives
The method we apply is to manually sharpen each tooth and recess one by one, using the correct angle. This preserves them and allows serrated knives to last much longer. Additionally, they retain their functionality and original appearance.
